‘WONDERFRUIT 2025’ INSIGHTS

Returning for our second year at Wonderfruit, Fat Mango Studios was invited back to produce the official aftermovie for its 10-year anniversary, a milestone edition that called for a fresh creative approach.

With a decade of cultural evolution behind it, Wonderfruit 2025 introduced new stages, expanded programming, and a renewed energy across the festival grounds. Rather than revisiting last year’s format, the direction this year leaned into a more narrative-driven, documentary style, capturing not just moments, but meaning.

This project became a true collaboration between Wonderfruit, documentary filmmaker Paul, and our production team. Together, we shaped a creative direction that allowed storytelling to take the lead, weaving narration into the aftermovie to reflect the festival’s ethos, community, and atmosphere.

Fat Mango Studios led the production, editing, and post-production process, translating this shared vision into a cohesive visual story. The introduction of narration brought a new layer to the film, offering context, emotion, and continuity across five days of 24-hour programming.

As a sold-out edition, Wonderfruit 2025 was filled with new experiences, from live performances across newly introduced stages to intimate human moments happening throughout the festival. Our focus was to capture these nuances, the energy, the connection, and the evolving identity of Wonderfruit.

Having worked on the 2024 edition, our team approached this year with a deeper understanding of the festival’s scale and rhythm. This allowed us to prepare more intentionally, ensuring we were present in the right moments, ready to document both the spectacle and the subtleties.

More than just an aftermovie, this project reflects what documentary storytelling can bring to large-scale cultural events, a way to preserve not only what happened, but how it felt.
