‘FACE YOUR DEMONS’ INSIGHTS

We recently had the opportunity to capture behind-the-scenes content for Sammi Cheng’s music video, Face Your Demons — and it was one of those projects that quietly reminds you why you love working in production.

From the moment we stepped onto set, the scale was striking. For a music video, it felt closer to a film shoot. Dancers filled the space, lighting rigs stretched across the set, and multiple departments moved in sync — coordinators, technicians, performers, and crew all operating at a seriously high level of professionalism.

For Junior, one of our behind-the-scenes videographers, the first impression was exactly that: scale.

“It was much bigger than I expected for a music video,” he said. “Everyone knew their role, everything was planned, but it still felt creative and alive.”

Our role on this project was to observe, document, and tell the story of what happens beyond the camera — without disrupting the flow. Being a “fly on the wall” meant Junior could absorb how a large international production actually functions day-to-day: how departments communicate, how problems are solved in real time, and how creative vision is protected even under tight schedules.

That perspective is something we value deeply at Fat Mango. Whether we’re embedded in a massive production or a small, intimate shoot, we believe that the behind-the-scenes process is just as meaningful as the final output. It’s where collaboration, trust, and passion really show.

At Fat Mango Studios, we love creating alongside passionate creatives — directors, artists, producers, dancers, and crew who genuinely care about the work. Projects like Face Your Demons are a reminder that great productions aren’t just about budget or scale; they’re about people who show up prepared, committed, and open to collaboration.

Our values are simple:

Authenticity — staying true to the story and the people behind it

Fresh — doing things properly, whether the project is big or small

Creative — enjoying the work, not just chasing the outcome

We’re comfortable moving between worlds. From small-scale creative projects to full production service work on large international shoots, we bring the same mindset: respect the process, support the vision, and do the work with care.

Watching a production of this level up close is always inspiring. It sharpens our instincts, raises our standards, and feeds directly back into how we approach our own projects — whether we’re producing, shooting, or simply documenting the story behind the story.

We’re grateful to be trusted on sets like this, and even more grateful to keep working with people who love what they do.

If there’s one takeaway from this shoot, it’s this: when passionate creatives come together with a shared vision, the scale almost doesn’t matter — the energy does.
